i started my day with a good old baltimore breakfast at pete’s grill. an egg and cheese sandwich on an english muffin (eggs over easy = messy). fully charged up, i began to clean my studio. wait until you see how much floor space i now have! (pictures coming soon). a newly cleaned studio always means new work is coming up. hooray!

i will be perusing crafty bastards tomorrow with melissa. i am so excited to attend this sort of event in my neck of the woods. we will be passing out coupons to all the attendees that feel like saying “hello”. for all of you blog readers out there: use coupon code: bastards! to take 20% off of your order of $50. hurry, because the coupon expires on 10/15/06.

woohoo! i found out today that i will be participating in the Handmade Arcade this year. you won’t see the contents of the boutique at my booth, but rather, i will be selling jewelry made by me in my very own studio! (More info coming soon!)

last weekend, i went to seattle for the first time. seattle is perfect. even when it’s not perfect. mt. rainer is quite a sight to behold- as if the earth ended and butted up against a mural of a snow-capped mountain. i predict that this is not the last you will hear of seattle from me. . .

We had a bit of a computer meltdown (literally!) over the past few days, so we had to move the store over to a new hosting service. Sorry for the blow-up! I’ll leave you with some food for thought:

is fall really here already? it feels like it. . . it looks like it too. it’s eight p.m. and pitch black outside! sigh. i’m not sure i’m ready for this. although it does make me happy to think of the knitting nights to come! oh yes- and pumpkin pie too. yumm.

i decided a few weeks ago to participate in maryland’s “race for the cure” to benefit the susan g. komen breast cancer foundation. i will be running in the 5k race. now, for those of you that know me, you know that this is no “walk in the park” (pun intended!) for me. however, i’ve been training for about one month now and i feel so proud to particpate in this event. i hope you will come out and run, cheer us runners on, OR sponsor me here. (pretty please!!) I’ll keep you up to date on training details. Race date: October 21!

the new 2007 nikki mcclure calendars have arrived. they are gorgeous, of course!

it’s hard to believe that fall is just around the corner. yippy! time for scarves, layers, and most importantly-BOOTS! i have had terrible ebay luck recently and lost a handful of actions for vintage riding boots and vintage “pirate” boots. i guess it just wasn’t meant to be. alas! when will my lucky day come?
