i did it! i ran the 5k on saturday! i clocked in at 29min and 10seconds!! not too shabby for little ole’ me, i must say.

thank you so much to all of the beautiful, strong, and sassy women in my life who sponsered me. i thought of each of you as i ran the race. i am so lucky to have you in my life. of course, i have no pictures of the event. nope. you don’t get to see me with my wild runner’s hair in my short shorts. maybe next year. . . until then, here is a picture of me and one of the ladies i mentioned above- on her wedding night! miss you! kisses!

this week is full of exciting new arrivals at imogene. today i received a delightful package from lisa of good on paper design. it seems as though i have developed a new calendar obsession!

at this very moment i’m a little sad because it is past midnight and i just spent over an hour moving my record player to one side of the room to another (impulsive desire to rearrange) only to find out that my record player (a gift from my friend mike) is now making a terrible buzzing noise. After some investigative work and employment of the scientific method, i still cannot understand what the source of the problem is. : ( maybe it’s time to sleep. . .

yay! it’s saturday! i woke up early this morning to partake in my favorite saturday activity- the farmer’s market. i’m lucky to live only two blocks away from this year-round market. i feel as though i’ve had a complete weekend when i get to go to the market, pick up some fresh flowers, a crossaint, and a delicious cup of coffee.

while i munched on my croissant and read a magazine, i received this much-anticipated package:

my number for the 5K race!! it’s really happening! (and i’m still looking for more sponsors! there is one more week left to make a pledge )

so i promised you pictures of a clean studio. it turns out that my studio is already a mess since i cleaned it last weekend! nonetheless, here are a few photos of one of my favorite places on earth (more to come soon!):

2. working in the studio.

i chose the studio tonight and i feel great! right now i have some earrings in the tumbler and some talking heads on the speaker. two wonderful sounds working together.

tonight i had dinner with liz mathews who i haven’t seen in sooo very long. we recently graduated from the same program together and spent the evening catching up. hi liz! she had the most delicious key lime martini at holy frijoles and i had my SECOND serving of mexican food in one day. yummm.
i know i’ve promised you pictures of the clean studio, but i actually haven’t seen my studio during the day since saturday (sad, but true). my daytime job sometimes takes its toll on me. currently, i am working on more of these earrings (with a variety of stones). i will be super duper stocked for handmade arcade!

but what i really wonder is when i will get back to work like this milagro piece below. i really miss toiling away on a project. . .i think it will be quite some time before i return to intense studio work. i haven’t been able to reach into that part of my brain since graduating from school. . .
