to all the customers out there who have purchased a 2007 good on paper calendar from imogene, lisa of good on paper design has discovered a misprint in the months of august, september and december. to our online customers: you or your gift recipient will be sent a replacement. to everyone who purchased a calendar at Handmade Arcade or the Bust Craftacular. Please e-mail me at annie@imogene.org for your replacement. Thank you for your understanding & patience and to Lisa: we love you!

while finishing up some holiday shopping tonight i bought these lovely painted drawer pulls for the built in closet in our bedroom. you know the kind- our circa 1930’s house has the built in closet with beveled mirrors and built in drawers just below. while the closet isn’t in great shape, it was one of the reasons i fell in love with the house when we first took a peek at it. -that and the transom windows (presently non-functioning, but charming nonetheless) so the new pulls aren’t circa 1930’s, but aren’t they beautiful? they come from one of my favorite places, anthropologie.
hi folks! we cannot guarantee that any orders placed after 12pm on monday, the 18th will arrive before friday, december 22nd. we hope you have a warm and safe holiday. CHEERS!
we’re back from the bust craftacular- a record 30 hour roundtrip to brooklyn and back! thank you to mike taking care of our sleepy souls.
i hope everyone out there got exactly what they wanted from the shop before we headed out on friday night because we came back home with practically nothing! you can expect a restock of many of our favorite items soon, but, sadly, not in time for the holidays.
a BIG HUGE HUG to the ladies at bust for putting on a great show - complete with a one hour complimentary cocktail hour- (hooorrayyy brooklyn brewery!!), great djs that had me dancing behind the table the whole night and the best cheese blintz i’ve ever had.
HELLO! to a new friend of imogene- sue from giant dwarf! we were lucky enough to be sue’s next door neighbor for a day. check out this beautiful hat by sue:

would it be so wrong to wear this hat every day for the rest of the winter? . . . spring, summer, and fall?

erin and megan of art star.

dawn and maggie “from the heart” clark. (yes, that’s me in the hat again)
and my favorite moment of the night:

me and debbie stoller!!!!

December 7th, or possibly the first Thursday of December, marks the time when Baltimore’s DPW gets out the old holiday lights and strings them up on the Washington Monument. You might be thinking: “I thought the Washington Monument was in DC?” Well, you thought wrong! That two-toned obelisk is actually a knock-off monument. Even worse, it was knocked off by the very same architect who designed our beloved scepter-esque tower to the north. Did this man know no shame? Apparently not!
Perhaps stemming from this lack of recognition, Baltimore lights up the monument so it can be seen from far and wide. This year it seems that there are some new lights, because a number of bulbs were out last year. No such problem this time around. Anyway, fireworks get shot, suprisingly enjoyable bad music gets played, historic buildings get toured and butts get frozen.

In an unrelated event, Joey is very interested in what is going on in this drawer.

(Generally, I’ll try to avoid posting pictures of Joey, as it is a good rule of thumb that photos of your pet are only cute to you. Thanks for humoring me!)
i feel a sadness i cannot describe.
if you can hear me, please know that you are in my thoughts.
everyone out there, please be well and love one another.

the caribbean and mexico were both a blast! while the weather was not ideal for the first part of the trip, melissa and i still had a fantastic relaxing vacation.
