i finally got a chance to look at the new issue of neet magazine today. it is as delicious as the veggie pot pie i was eating while browsing through the pages. i’m a wee bit tired right now to post images. however, i HIGHLY recommend pages 46-47 - diy shoes!! yes, make your own adorable pumps. and of course starting on page 55- street style. yummy! for more on street style, check out wardrobe remix daily.

announcing the arrival of new good on paper design stationary goods (and some old favorites as well) and two very special prints from sofia barao- our very first international designer here at imogene! happy weekend!
check out knitta. i can’t put it better than the crew themselves: “. . . A tag crew of knitters, bombing the inner city with vibrant, stitched works of art, wrapped around everything from beer bottles on easy nights to public monuments and utility poles on more ambitious outings.”

radical lace and subversive knitting open until june 17 at the museum of arts and design (mad)

what could be better on a rainy (w/ice) day than calling in a “mental health” day at the 9-5? not much. EXCEPT- how about brand new magazines in the mailbox and a cup of black coffee?
i received the new dwell today and became very excited that american craft magazine will now be edited by andrew wagner, formerly executive editor of dwell. hooray!! american craft magazine is, in my opinon, in GREAT need of a facelift. the new look of american craft will debut in the oct/nov 2007 issue. what will this mean for the american craft council shows?
you can find the full press release here

today, the circus is in town. as part of the opening celebrations, there was a little elephant parade through the west side of town. i took off my platforms, put on my sneakers and walked westward during my lunch break. while the elephants were adorable (holding each others tails with their trunks), i thought i’d share with you some of my favorite pieces of art on the streets of baltimore instead:

are you working on your next big thing entry/entries for fred flare’s annual next big thing contest? if not, get to it! i know i am. . . (deadline is april 20)
