i got word this weekend that imogene will be participating in one of our FAVORITE craft events:
Art Star Craft Bazaar!

this will be our third year in a row! we feel so honored to be back!
i still remember back in 2005 when melissa and i arrived with a tiny display of earrings and set up in the little parking lot next to the liberties walk. what fun!

it’s been amazing to watch art star grow and grow. erin and megan are a true inspiration to me. you do such an excellent job ladies!

THE BOOK:

if you’re anything like me, you have a trusty old calendar that you keep your appointments in. i had a palm pilot thingy back in the day and that just didn’t work. all of the calendar programs on my computer don’t do it for me either. instead, i rely on good ole pen and paper. for the past year, i have used my awesome angela adams planner from chronicle books.

i have to say, i’m getting a little worried because the refill pages have been unavailable for a while. please bring them back! anyhoo. my point here is this - do you have the following events jotted down in your calendar?

april 14th-deadline to apply for the art star craft bazaar (philly, pa)
april 13, 14, 15th- for the locals: the johns hopkins spring fair featuring music, beer garden, and crafty vendors(baltimore, md)
april 20th - deadline to submit to fred flare’s next big thing contest
april 22- spring bada bing! presented by the richmond craft mafia (hi there!)(richmond, va)
may 1 - deadline to apply for pile of craft presented by the charm city craft mafia (baltimore, md)
may 12- squidfire’s spring art mart (baltimore, md)

i feel so energized and refreshed after watching the preview. it is a great reminder that EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

what better news to wake up to on a saturday morning then this: imogene has been accepted to the BROOKLYN RENENGADE CRAFT FAIR! i have always had a special place for brooklyn in my heart after the AMAZING bust craftacular show back in nov. ‘06. can’t wait to see everyone again- this time in a pool!

Looks like june (my first month of self-employment) will be jam-packed with events! (See post below about Pile of Craft, the Charm City Craft Mafia’s very own event)

well- it’s official! i put in my formal resignation at work and my last day at the day job (cubby hole) will be june 5, 2007!!! hoorayyy !!!! (insert happy dance here) it’s an exciting and scary time for me. but finally i will be able to focus on imogene, blogging, and studio work - all of the things that i LOVE and just don’t have the time/energy for with a 9-5. (i think i haven’t soldered in over a year!!) wish me luck! it might be quiet here for a while until then. . .

i just wanted to say thanks to all the people out there who are full-time shop-owners or bloggers. you have been a real inspiration to me.
