in the garden this morning

on my way out for a large iced red eye this morning (completely wired now), i stopped to say hello to the garden in our front yard. steve is the loving caretaker. beautiful job, steve!
after a heavy rainfall on saturday night, this HUGE guy popped up. i find him quite charming:
