after leaving my day job, i dove head first into making jewelry and focusing on sitting at the bench. since then, i’ve been able to create a jewelry line, open an etsy shop, and put together a wholesale catalog.

i did have to put imogene the boutique on the back burner for about a month and half there, but don’t you worry. i’m coming back in full force! after saturday’s show, the harbor east fine arts and music festival, i will be introducing a new jeweler from the u.k. , rephotographing many things. - as i am now more savvy with the camera! and adding more goodies. thank you EVERYONE for your support.

we’re headed up to the madison-bouckville outdoor antiques show tomorrow.

first providence, now this? yes, i am a lucky girl indeed. this time, i’m hunting for vintage oddities including buttons, lab supplies, paper goods, toys, tools that would go in a doctor’s bag (don’t ask). what else? i’ll know it when i see it. . .

here’s just a little of what i have to look forward to:

• Over 1,000 prescreened dealers from across the United States and Canada
• 90 acres of picturesque farmland transformed into a wonderland of antiques and collectibles
• Opportunities to Discover, admire, buy, swap
• Colorful trolleys pulled by antique tractors take you from your car to the show gate
• Delicious food and beverages at numerous concession stands

steve grew up not so far away from bouckville, so we will be enjoying an upstate stay in his hometown (also home of the munson-williams-proctor arts institute ). i think i will have to bring along my laptop for this trip, as there is alot of work to be done. . . and perhaps because i might be a little. . . addicted to my computer??? nooooooo. see you again when i’m in new york!

my confession is. . . IT’S A MESS.  but i love it nonetheless.  my golden rule is to clean up and put things away EVERY NIGHT.  i let myself slip for the past two nights.  oops!

1. above the entrance to studio.  a gift from paper cloud and a robot painting i got at the art star craft bazaar two years ago.  i’m sorry i don’t remember the artist’s name, but i know the initials are i.b.

3.  above my workbench.  i work right underneath the skylight.  this is a no-no for many jewelers (as you need to shelter yourself from light to see the changes of color in metal as you heat it) but i am from the sunshine state after all!
