this is my last day to prepare for the renegade craft fair in chicago. i’ll be hitting the road bright and early tomorrow for the record “longest distance i’ve traveled for a craft show”. i’ll be spending today making as many of the etched/cutout woodland creatures necklaces as possible, as i am very very low. i was so glad to find that the crafty bastards blog posted a link to an article on getcrafty.com on how to prepare for a craft fair- complete with list. after the number of shows i have under my belt now, you would think i would have already developed a list!
well, i’m off to brew some coffee and start my making and packing.
the store will be closed this evening until tuesday morning, but the blog will remain open.

What a handy article! I’m a huge fan of the list - I keep it saved on my computer, and print a new one for each show. Then I cross things off as they go in the car. I can now pack and load the car for a show in about an hour!

Hope to see you at the show! Looks like the weather is supposed to be great. I was wearing my tree pendant yesterday when I went out to dinner with my son and the waitress complimented it. She loved it. Then, later at the mall, one of the cashiers noticed it. I get compliments on it wherever I go. I hope you do well at Renegade! Enjoy your drive.
