sounds like you had a wonderful birthday, Im so glad you got to spend it the way you did. I cant imagine anything better. I hope you have a wonderful year!
i’ll have to get back to you on my fav birthday memory!
Here’s a happy birthday and a wonderful year being 26! I have several favorite birthday memories, one of which was my 16th. My mom and brothers took me out to dinner. When we arrived home I was the first one to walk into a dark house. I could see shapes outlined around me; I screamed bloody murder and shot out of the house as fast as my legs could carry me! Talk about terrifying! But, it wasn’t several mad axe murderers out to get me - it was a surprise birthday party! It was a fun night and a great birthday.
My favorite birthday was in 2005 (may) I had just found out a few weeks earlier that we were pregnant, and I got to tell all my family and friends at the same time! Hope Paris was fabulous, and your birthday too!
Happy Birthday! And in Paris, oh my. What a delight.
One of my favorite birthdays was during my 8th grade year. My family had moved to a new state in Feb and in May I invited all the girls in my (small) class to my house. And they all came! We were all wearing pajamas because it was pajama day at school that day, a Friday. I remember we had a water balloon fight and then we all changed into dry clothes from my closet, ate pizza, and watched the movie Arachnophobia. Ha! Also, I had made everyone little favors that were these little boxes made of graham crackers built into cubes and sealed at the corners with icing, with Bubble Tape ribbon atop and down the sides. I know that idea must have come from a magazine. Anyway, the details of the party sound so silly but it was perfect and we all had a blast.
Sounds like you had an amazing trip! I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Happy birthday! (and thanks for the shout out)
Happy to see you again!
I like most birthday’s. None of them really stand out more than others… I am just happy to have them I guess.
My birthday is right next to New Years- and Post Xmas- so it is a little overwhelming on me and most everyone else.
I do have to say- that for the longest time- I thought my birthday was represented with Pink Elephants and Champagne glasses on cakes. Then I found out that my mother didn’t feel up to baking my cake and would buy the “HAPPY NEW YEARS” cakes at the store. Haaa…

My favorite birthday memory… hm… well, last year was fun! A friend of mine gave me a package of adhesive mustaches, which was great, because everything anybody says is somehow ten times funnier when they are sporting false facial hair. We also watched Disney Channel and drank lots of coke. Anyway, happy (late) birthday to you, my dear!
p.s.- I just stumbled upon your Etsy shop today. Lovely things!
Oh my goodness, i knew you were away but didn’t know where!! Good for YOU for going abroad, you travelor you!
On my 20th birthday I was studying abroad in Florence, and my parents came to visit, but because I lived with 6 other girls, they staying in a hotel across town. I woke up early in the morning and walked across Florence to meet them, and halfway there, I ran into a race (running) and had to wait 45 minutes to cross the path of the race, as it was packed with runners! Just as I saw an opening and started to dash, a man in the back of a pack of people turned and blew a snot rocket RIGHT at me. It would be the worst birthday memory, perhaps, but I was in Italy, and got to see my parents and drink wine with them and explore the backstreets of Florence. Goes well with your travel theme!
xoxo Rachel
thank you so much everyone for your birthday wishes and wonderful stories! i am enjoying reading these
keep ‘em coming! xoxo!
Hey! Happy Birthday! It was just my birthday too! I turned the big 3-0- gasp, shudder, on the 26th! My favorite birthday memory would have to be this one! My hubby and friends threw me a 3 day birthday extravaganza, complete with parties, dinners out, and and even a spooky ghost tour!Yay! Scorpios!
What a fantastic way to spend your birthday!!! Hmmm…As for me, I would have to say my best birthday memory was for my 21st. I was living in Australia, and went on a 3 day backpacking trip in the Flinders Ranges (South Australia) with my Outdoor Education class. The sights and sounds and feelings were amazing, and although I was exhausted on Sunday when we came back (my actual birthday), I was very happy. Originally I wanted to go out and have a big night on the town, but by the time I got home, all I wanted was a warm bath, a glass of wine, dinner, and some cake, and that is exactly what I got. My friend Suzanne made us dinner and my friend Sarah brought her home made mint chocolate chip ice cream cake! It was wonderful.
Hello! Happy Belated Birthday!
My favorite birthday was last year. I was teaching art at a Boys and Girls club in this tiny little town called Guadalupe in Arizona. On my birthday all 300 of the kids sang Happy Birthday to me, drew me pictures and gave me hugs. It was awesome!

happy belated birthday! what a wonderful way to spend a birthday. my favorite birthday was spent in a tiny zen b&b and hiking the hawaii volcanoes with a special friend. it made turning 40 a little less traumatizing!
ooooo Happy birthday.
My favorite birthday memory is probably when my fiance got me the PERFECT birthday present. It was one of those things where it came in the mail and I was all happy and showing everyone. It was the best present ever.
Happy Birthday! You are so lucky that you got to see that for your birthday!
My favorite birthday is yet to come actually, my birthday is in December and I am taking the time to fly out to Missouri the day before and stay a month with a bunch of family! I love my family but don’t get to see them often so this will be a birthday to remember.
Now if it has to be from the past, I can’t really say I have one… grew up in a Jehovah’s Witness family so they were hidden or non-existent.
No worries though, I always grew a year older still.
Again, Happy Belated Birthday!
My favorite birthday was my 8th. My grandma had a swimming party for me at her pool. I got to wear a very cute pink bikini and eat a 3 tiered, rainbow layered cake!! It was so good and I felt like a princess!
Happy belated Birthday to you as well!
P.S. I also LOVE birthdays so I know how you feel
My favorite birthday memory - funny b/c i was just reliving this with my friend emily (we are October babies)! It was my 21st birthday and I was traveling in Europe for a semester of Architecture school. We happened to be in Venice Italy. My friends woke me up for sunrise and we had croissants and espresso watching the sun rise over the canals. They gave me a beautiful ring made of Venetian glass. That night we went to see a quartet in an old church - beautiful - and then we took a gondola ride and my friend marc sang a lovely song to me in Italian. It doesn’t seem real - I wish every birthday were like that!
Thanks for asking! All birthdays should be magical!

My favorite birthday was September 8, 2000. I received a poster - bold sharpie on stolen bulletin board paper. It read, “Happy Birthday! I love you!”
We had known each other a week and a half.
