on the one-a-week challenge:
here’s my loot from the grocery store and pantry.

i’m getting a little worried here. i have NO IDEA what i’m going to make with these things?! ack! maybe i should have had a plan before going shopping? although, the contestants on project runway don’t have much time to think either. . .
i’m also starting to realize that it would have been wise to get alot of one material instead of one of everything. i mean. . . chocolate, soap, and rice paper? i chose materials based on texture and color. . . oh dear . . . this is quite the challenge!
time to brainstorm . . .
materials:
soy wrapper (in five colors!)- 2 packages
rice paper- 1 package
2 bars of soap
1 bar of dark chocolate
1 tin of green tea
1 small bag of dried mangoes
from the pantry:
1 package of sprinkles
1 tin of tea
1 tin of hot chocolate
total $ : $27.43

I cannot wait to see what you come up with!
I can think of a pretty elaborate (and ugly) hat! I’m stumped for you! No metals at all?!
Are you assuming that you’ll use all, or at least most of these ingredients? I’ll admit, I did a pre-shopping trip to think about the possibilities before actually spending money. Was that “cheating?” Anyways, I’m jealous of those colored soy wrappers, those could be a lot of fun!
i guess when i went to the store i assumed i would use them all! silly me! that would NEVER work! that’s like using 10 different fabrics in one outfit.
UGH!
i think i will have to tone it down a little. perhaps the solution now is to make a collection of several pieces using only a few of the materials in each. - make it work, right? i can’t believe i’m actually saying that!
i’ve learned my lesson!
kait-i can’t wait to see what you come up with!
whitney- be careful- you may receive a soy wrapper decorated with sprinkles for your b-day!
I’ll take a biggs and featherbelle pendant so I can smell it all day!
