i spent this weekend sweating. temperatures soared to the mid and high nineties and according to the weather channel “felt like” in the 100s. ouch! it was much too hot to come out to the studio to work, so instead i worked on a baby blanket and a few good reads. here’s hoping that it cools down soon!

a baby blanket in a simple basket weave pattern. it will have ruffle edges when i’m all done. i traded jewelry for this yarn on ravelry- how cool is that?!
unaccustomed earth by jhumpa lahiri
a cook’s tour by anthony bourdain (who i, a vegetarian, have a huge crush on)

Oh my gosh… I have a HUGE crush on Anthony too! I tivo “NO Reservations” all the time. He eats the most disgusting meat, but I love him anyway. (Kinda weird huh?)
**I also have a crush on the “Take Home Chef”***
HOT DAMN! Join the Bourdain-train! HAHAHAH!!!
(Did you see my post a few days ago???)
Strange thing about this lovely odd man- he is catchy! LIKE A BAD COLD!
Love him too…
Sorry about the heat… I was having a touch go at it in the studio last night- even with my little cooling unit. I could have bumped it up to super arctic but then I would worry about the $$$.
Lovely blanket…
You are amazing!
