on the way to the post box today i saw this. you might be thinking, “what a pretty flower that is!”
i was thinking HOLY COW- THAT IS THE BIGGEST FLOWER I’VE EVER SEEN! check this out. that is my hand RIGHT NEXT to the flower!:

crazy isn’t it?! i haven’t had a chance to see what kind of tree/flower this is yet. you can always come visit me in mt. washington to see it! (but hurry! i think it’s almost done flowering)
I think that looks like a southern magnolia bloom. I used to live in MD and we had one near our apartment. They are so beautiful! But I did say “holy sh*t!” outload when I saw your hand next to it. Was it on a tree-like plant?
