yay! i’m awaiting the arrival of this:

i finally decided on this bike. i’m trading in my crazy heavy, vintage panasonic road bike for a lighter, more comfy city cruiser. i’ve faced the fact- i’m simply not built for road biking around these parts. have you seen the roads in this city? (baltimoreans: please report a pothole near you by clicking here). inspired by my trip to amsterdam, all the avid bikers i know (thank you steve, rachel, jenny, megan) and a commitment to a create a more fit community, i’m hopping on the bike!

Yay - congrats on the new bike!
Someday over coffee you’ll have to tell me all about the bike culture in Amsterdam - I’d love to visit!
Three cheers for riding a bike! Enjoy it - it sure is cute.
STRANGE! Thomas just bought a Cruiser bike- and has it totally stripped down and is painting it- and adding a nifty red pin-stripe… we are going to ride on the North central trail soon… and of course- around here too.
MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE AIR!
Congrats! Mine looks almost exactly the same but is matte silver with red handlbars and seat. It’s only 3 speeds which can be a bit of a challenge on these hilly streets, but it’s a challenge I’m taking on with all I’ve got. Have fun!
As you can see, I have the occasional run-in with an anti-Hey-That’s-My Biker and to those people I say nobody, nobody can eat 50 eggs.
love this bike annie! i wish i could ride a cruiser, but these seattle hills will not allow for it. ahhh - i’ll just continue checking out the copenhagen bike style & dream about wearing cute clothes on an even cuter bike.
