that’s it. i will diligently and patiently practice the art of how to take the perfect photo. my first step was to read the advice of the photographer herself right here. i’ve denied this for a long time, but i do believe the second step is to save up for a great camera. what do you think? i currently take all of my photos with an easy-to-use canon powershot (the kind of digital camera that will fit in your clutch) and quite frankly, that is just not cutting it.

the camera thing is so true - I bought a Sony digital SLR, and couldn’t be happier. I was just out in the garden taking pictures a few minutes ago, thinking how much I love my camera!
While I do agree with her that framing and good light are half the battle, I have to admit that even my boyfriend’s 400.00 Leica takes better pictures than my little Sony that cost half the price (that’s counting the memory card.) The lens can make a difference. Quite honestly, I don’t see a huge difference between his SLR and the Leica but I’m sure given all of the options the SLR provides, the difference in price begins to explain itself.
Either way, her photos are *amazing*
