remember last year’s one-a-week challenges?  i had SO much fun with those projects.  right now, alisa, kait, and laura are starting up the challenges again!  i wish that i could join in again this year, but my plate’s a little full at the moment.  it’s not too late for you to join! i’m looking forward to everyone’s trials, tribulations, elations and results.

one of my favorite  one-a-week challenges ,purposed by kait, called growth/decay:

Make a piece of jewelry (or any other creative item) which expresses the idea of either ‘growth’ or ‘decay’ (for those less daunted by the ‘negative’).

here is my result:

after the challenge, i planted my precious bulb and patiently waited for the seasons to change.  i almost hit the ceiling in a leap of joy when i discovered this a few days ago:

growth/decay

i suppose this is turning into a one-a-year challenge for me, eh?

So exciting to see signs of spring! The bulb is still set in the ring, right? Will you unearth it to wear it once it blooms?

    hi kait!
yes, the bulb is still set in the ring. i think i’ll unearth it for a photo op, and then put it back into the pot. if i’m SUPER lucky, it should bloom right in time for ACC, then i can have it on display! yippieeeeeee!
