i know it seems like i’m photographing the same thing over and over again, right? i guess that i am! today i oxidized some links and hollow forms just to see what they would look like. i’m so glad i did, as i feel like i’m heading in a direction that i really like with this new line. i’m working much slower than usual right now, but i’m so happy with my results. i’m still figuring out the configurations of the links, stones and hollow forms. and soon i’ll also be experimenting with keumboo and etching on the forms. i’ll have photos of more pieces in a few day, i promise!

acc is coming up before i know it. i think my luxuriously slow creating time will come to a close very rapidly next week!
it’s off to yoga and the SEASON PREMIERE of LOST.
YYEAAAAA!!

Beautiful! I LOVE it! xo
really cool, and beautiful. What kind of wire are you using. I want to try fusing wire which I know you can do with fine silver, but I wasn’t sure if you could do it with sterling or other kinds of wire. Did you fuse your links or solder them?
thank you, ladies!
i’ve never fused wire before and don’t know anything about it. i think megan auman does, though. any thoughts, megan?
i’ll swing an email her way and see
all of these links are made with sterling silver and soldered.
tricia - it all depends on what kind of torch you are using. small/thin fine silver links can easily be fused with a regular acetylene torch. i use a fusing/welding process with sterling, but you need an oxy/acetylene mini torch, because it gets hotter. sterling always wants to ball up away from the heat, so i’ve found that you really need pieces to overlap in order to fuse them. hope this helps!
annie - love the new necklace!
Enjoy the last of your “play time” while you can. The new work is FANTASTIC!
I love your work! I found you through etsy and look forward to following your progression. Plus, it’s good to find a fellow LOST fan! Did you enjoy the premiere?
