one day last year, a giant pile of rocks appeared next to the back door of the studio.  i figured that my landlord was planning to use them to landscape the garden.  months later, there is still a giant pile of rocks next to my door.  this pile even started to get on my nerves a little as it is not very pleasing to look at and it makes backing the car up all the way to the door impossible (sometimes i have to load heavy things into the car).  i apologize, pile of rocks, for the way i’ve felt about you, because, overtime, the rocks have developed a lovely moss coating that IS very pleasing to look at. . . and photograph. . . and inspire.
