thanks to caitlin for recommending the time traveler’s wife! i devoured it on the plane ride out to washington, finished it the second night there and then immediately flipped to the beginning to reread it. it reminded me very much of one of my favorites, love in the time of cholera- a story of enduring love that defies all.
and now i’m eating up all the pretty horses by cormac mccarthy. so far, it reminds me of another one of my favorites, lonesome dove. i’m a sucker for a western.
what are you reading?

Welcome back, Annie!
I loved The Time Traveler’s Wife. What a great book. I’m reading The Simple Life, edited by Larry Roth. It’s inspiring, funny, and sometimes annoying. Overall, good. You reminded me that I haven’t even *considered* updating my Goodreads recently, and I’ve read a lot of good books!
Those books look wonderful! Right now I am reading White Noise by Don DeLillo. Also, I have been perusing The Printmaking Bible, which I got for my b-day.
Time Traveler’s Wife is my FAVORITE book- I heard it was going to be a movie, hope they don’t butcher it!
HA! i listened to time traveler’s wife on a drive to chicago last september with a friend.
we totally blushed numerous times. loved it.
LOVED Time Traveler’s Wife. Just finished The Commitments (Roddy Doyle). Another great read. Looking forward to reading Into the Wild (just saw the movie the other night and want to know MORE). What’s with the studio move? I guess we need to catch up…
