is it me? or does it seem a little quiet on the blog the last few days? today i’m working away at the bench and getting ready to ship out some orders. i’ve very recently sold out of some designs in the webshops and will not be continuing production of them. visit a retailer near you for the sold out items!

only a few studio days left until merry mart! and i’ve still got to work on my handmade holiday cards (this year, glitter is involved!) and handmade gifts. the season is upon us! i’ve even added a few holiday songs to the pandora mix for some good cheer.

i’m on a quick lunch break right now from a day of walking pups.  what a pleasant surprise to see this on the front page of etsy as i’m sitting down for a sandwich and soup!  thank you unaodd! i’m liking the new etsy look alot- how about you?

Wow.  I had this whole post ready to post on Friday after I got home from Annie’s, but then I went to the studio.  And stayed way too late for a Friday night and forgot completely to post.  So I have these pictures I got ready of my Design and Production project that are now outdated becasue I’ve finished that project and turned it in today!  Yay!!!

Here’s where I was Thursday evening.  I’ll save the finished products for this Fridays blog post.

Anyways, I really wanted to go to Holiday Heap on Saturday but this weekend was basically only about being in the studio.  I’m disappointed I missed it but will make sure to be at the next one!

Today was my last project due until the semester ends.  I took a night off for the first time in a while and it was nice.  Back to work full speed tomorrow!

the day has finally come.  (we got our tickets back in august.)  tomorrow we will see iron and wine live.

it turns out that holiday heap is not, afterall, my last show of the season!  i’m pleased to announce that i will be exhibiting at the creative alliance’s annual MERRY MART!  this was a last-minute move, so i’m not listed in the promo materials or on the site- but you can bet i’ll be there.  did i mention there will be a cash bar?  enticing, right?  hope to see you there! i better get crackin’-

any readers out there in the providence, rhode island area?  i wish i was! then i could check out craftland!  last year, i stopped in on my way home from the boston bazaar bizarre, but alas, craftland was closed that day. i’ll be shipping some pieces there this week.

i was lucky enough to be back to back with my friend, liz at holiday heap. i had a blast hanging out all day! it was wonderful to meet all you blog readers out there- hello! and thank you so much for stopping by my table.

i’m pretty spent from all the prep and work from yesterday, so today i will be putting my feet up and relaxing. well, there are some things that need to be done around the house too- so the feet get to go up AFTER all the chores are taken care of.

as i’m typing this, there is a big vegan lasagna in the oven. i’m hoping this means that i won’t have to cook anything tomorrow (or maybe even the next day!) for dinner. - don’t you just love casseroles? here is the tofu and spinach filling that went into the lasagna:

and for lunch i had baked bbq tofu with braised kale again. i managed to use every last drop of the bbq sauce that i made last week- i LOVE the feeling of being able to use everything to the last drop- no waste!

you may also be pleased to know that i recently ordered vegan with a vengeance, so i can give veganomicon a little rest for now. thanks for the tip, readers! the post punk kitchen folks are SO inspiring. i have never enjoyed cooking or eating more. while i was at it, i also picked up a new knitting book- after i saw liz’s i just couldn’t help myself. i mean really- just look at that hat!!

i have to remember not to watch unsolved crime mysteries on t.v. at eleven o clock at night while knitting.

firstly, thank you for all your lovely comments on french lessons two! i really enjoyed making these and hope that the 2009 collection will be just as exciting!

steve and i have been very conscientious about packing our lunches and dining at home for the past two weeks. last night, we decided to let loose and go out for a night on the town!

first we went to a little party for gutter magazine and then we went to my favorite sushi place in fell’s point. originally, we had planned to dance the night away after dinner at the diplo show, but being the old lady that i am, i decided to get a cup of tea instead! (quite a change of pace!) we stopped by el rancho grande as we’d never been there before. and to our surprise, there was an intimate, live acoustic set happening. we had the pleasure of listening to simon lynge, visiting baltimore all the way from greenland. so lovely.
